What is the Alliance?
The Jeffco Alliance is a group of parents, community members, students and #TeamJeffco staff who gather to provide critical feedback on the school district’s strategic direction. All Jeffco residents are welcomed and encouraged to participate when the Alliance gathers. This alliance began in 2022 and has shaped Jeffco Thrives 2025, the district’s strategic plan, and, more recently, its work to reimagine the high school experience.
What is the Alliance Currently Working on?
Jeffco Thrives 2025 is a bold vision. It requires shifting the resources we have as well as generating new revenue and resources to support our mission to provide a world-class education that prepares all Jeffco students for bright and successful futures as local and global citizens.
The 2024 State of the District presentation presented future opportunities for Jeffco to maximize local revenue to support community-driven interests including:
- Competitive Compensation: Instructional excellence, preschool through graduation, delivered by highly talented and competitively compensated educators, staff, and leaders
- Safe and Secure Environments: Learning environments that are safe, modern and foster extraordinary student experiences
- High School Reimagined: Graduates who will enter a complex and changing world, having discovered and explored their passions and potential careers
Join the Jeffco Alliance
Throughout spring 2024, the Alliance will be meeting to explore community-driven interests – competitive staff compensation; safe and secure environments and high school reimagined – to help the district identify investments to be funded by a future mill levy override request to Jefferson County voters.
The feedback and ideas shared in these conversations will also help the district steward existing resources to support areas of community-interest aligned to our vision of preparing Jeffco students for bright and successful futures.
Jeffco Alliance subcommittee meetings take place from 6 p.m.–7:30 p.m. at the Jeffco Education Center on the following dates:
- Wednesday, January 31
- Wednesday, February 28
- Monday, March 11
- Tuesday, April 9
